Burial or cremation? Open or closed casket? What if my loved one dies while away from home? Can I make prearrangements for my loved one?

There are so many decisions when it comes to planning a funeral. When a family is struggling with the loss of a loved one, it is comforting to know that there is somewhere to go where all of your questions and concerns may be answered. Nestled in the picturesque bay-side community of Islip, the Overton Funeral Home is committed to serving the south shore communities of Long Island as well as our surrounding areas with the kind of professional and attentive care that only a family can provide.

"Family owned and operated" is a phrase often associated with funeral homes, and it has been the mission of the Overton family to provide the personal service and setting needed at a family's most difficult time since 1923. Whether you are looking for a traditional funeral with a wake, a religious service at a house of worship, or if you are opting for a cremation with a memorial service - our compassionate staff will walk you through every step of the funeral process.
